An ethical link between cocoa workers to consumers

challenges cocoa supply chain

The decrease in cocoa plantation productivity and the increase in demand for chocolate products has seen the creation of new farming practices to guarantee supplies and the quality of cocoa for the future years to come.
In May 2010, CEMOI, BLOMMER and PETRA FOODS created the PACTS Alliance to produce a premium quality cocoa in Ivory Coast.
This joint-venture unites three family-run businesses in their commitment to sustainably developed cocoa.
The strength of PACTS lies in the creation of a virtuous circle, linking the cocoa farmer and the consumer.
